MTPS
is located at Durlavpur in the Bankura
district in West Bengal. It has four
units of 210 MW each and two unit of 250 MW. Special features
of MTPS include its 16.2 km long spiral
welded MS water pipeline for transporting
water from the right bank of Damodar
river and 220 mtrs high RCC multi
flue stack which helps in preventing
air pollution. Its affluent water
utilization plant has a dual purpose
of water conservation and minimization
of liquid affluent discharge. The
plant also employs 3 ring granulator
type crushers for its coal handling
system reducing the mill rejection
from the tube mill. |
